Labor Day 2011

Hey all,
The Hart family ventured to the lake cottage near Alexandria, MN for a weekend getaway this year. It's a little chilly but we're still having fun. Of course, Michael and Kenlyn love their boat rides and Kenlyn is becoming quite the ornathologist...she loves looking for Loons! Too fun.

Go State!

Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Appelt, Kenlyn is well on her way to adding to the school spirit of SDSU. Only 16 and 1/2 years to go...Go State!

Michael Turns 2!

We had a happy 2nd birthday here at the Hart household. Michael enjoyed opening many presents! I helped with the present opening so unfortunately I don't have any pictures of him opening presents but I have many pictures of him getting messy eating the his cupcake. Enjoy the mess!

Our New Arrival, Kenlyn!

Well, it has taken me almost a week to get pictures onto our blog but I did have major surgery so you have to give me a couple of extra days! Mike, Michael, and I are so excited to share our newest member of the family, Kenlyn Elizabeth Hart. She arrived promptly at 8:15 am on Wednesday May 20th. She weighed in at 7 lbs 10 oz. We were expecting a little bigger baby so she gets call the peanut a lot! When Michael was born the doctor announced, "He's beautiful!. He's Huge! He's peeing all over me!" Kenlyn was not to be out done! This time the doctor announced "She is a beautiful baby girl! She is peeing all over me! Now she just pooped on me!" I think that we have a little scrapper on our hands. She a very good baby and loves to eat so she should fit into this family very well. We will try to get some more pictures on soon but here is a small collection of pictures from the last 6 days.

Happy Birthday Grandma!

Well, Michael was my little helper when it came to making Grandma Appelt's birthday cake. He took it upon himself to be my designated beater cleaner. He didn't quite master getting his tongue out far enough so you can see that more was getting on his cheeks and nose then actually in his mouth. I am afraid that I am not ever going to be able to use the mixer again without my little helper right by my side!

Father Son Wrestling Match

Michael and his father had so much fun wrestling! This was not a tag team event so I was able to sit comfortably on the couch and just be a spectator/photographer. I'm not sure who was having more fun. You certainly can't tell from their faces. I do believe that dad was more tired than son at the end!
